It's great to be eight!

I can't believe my baby is 8 years old. Where does time go? Rylan turned 8 on March 25. He was sooo excited. I took donuts for him to share with his class Mrs. Combs. Then at 5:00 he had his friend party. He invited 12 kids so we had that many 6 to 9 year old children at the party. It was suppose to be a Lego theme but it ended up being more of a car theme. Rylan really wanted a pinata and I had every intention of making one until I found out how long it takes to make them with having to let them dry and stuff. So I went and bought one instead. I also had great plans to make a lego cake but with everything going on it was just tooo much for me, so off to Costco I went and the selection was flowers (no good for a boy), a dinosaur, or a basketball, so I bought the basketball cake.
When the kids came I had them play with Legos which was great but he invited a couple of girls they were not so into that. Then we had pizza from Little Caesars and crazy bread! Boy those kids sure know how to make and lot of noise!!! Then the real excitement came we went out in the garage because it was very cold outside and hit the pinata. Boy do they know how to scream!!! They had a lot of fun with that. Then back into the house we went and put together their lego racers. And once that was done they raced them on a track that Dan & Treven had made for them. They had lots of fun with that. Then off to having cake & ice cream but most were still interested in their cars!!!! Rylan opened his gifts before I could even take any pictures so I totally missed that one!! Then to help the little rowdy kids settle down we put on a Lego move Power Clutch they all seemed to enjoy that. Then it was time for their parents to come and pick them up. I hope they had a great time because I was exhausted now I know why I only have birthday parties every other year and we go somewhere much, much, easier. It's great to be eight.

Life Changes

Well its been a while since I've blogged. Its been over a month. Boy a lot can happen in one short month. Where do I start? Well Austin was racing his motorcycle in January when he lost power and did a nose dive and rolled. Watching that was like it was in slow motion. Well he wouldn't let un take him to the hospital that night but by 6:30 am he was in my room asking if we would take him. Dan took him in which nothing was broken but we needed to take him into a specialist. So we finally got him in on Thursday garantee this happened on Saturday night. Then of course they send us for a MRI the next day, which ended up waiting until the following Tuesday to find out he had torn he meniscus resulting in needing surgery. Of which his doctor was in Hawaii on vacation all week so we had to wait another week for his surgery.

And top of that the week Austin got hurt Dan lost his job. It almost felt like it was more than I could handle. This is one of the times I really needed my dad's advice, for him to tell me it was going to be alright. Oh, how I miss him, not only at these times of my life but just every day I miss talking to him. He would really help to know how to handle my teenager (not mentioning any names) I do have 2 teens now. Scary thought.

I have had some all time lows lately. But through all these things, it has brought me to be humble and so eternally grateful to my heavenly father and our savior. I know their has been time through this that my Heavenly father has had to carry me because I could not do this on my own. It is amazing how important the gospel is. I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and his atonement.

Dan just got an offer for a contracting job working for IHC. Which we are really grateful for this opportunity.

I can't believe yesterday was Valentine's Day. It was a really great day. Dan & I went to the temple and out to eat. After that we took 3 of our boys and went to a movie. It is just great to spent time with my family. I love you all.

I can't believe its a New Year already. Where or where did December go? To be honest I was dreading the holidays since this was the first year without my dad. But it ended up being a great holiday season over all. We went to Nephi like we always did on Christmas Eve since this was my dad's birthday. But this year was a little different we( meaning the whole family with Karen and her girls) went to the cemetary first and had a little celebration for him. Then we went out and had our dinner, ornament exchange, & all the fun we have just being together.

We stayed home for Christmas Day except going to Greg & Heather's for brunch. We played alot of Wii games all day.

And then after Christmas we had my family party. Everyone but Riley was here. We had good food, good company, & lots of entertainment with 5 little babies under 2 years old. How fun it is to have all the little kids around.

We also had our Warburton Christmas Party before Christmas. We played basketball or I should say they all played. Did our traditional nativity reading/dress-up, and exchanged gifts.

I almost forgot to add we had a party with Dan's brother Mitch and his family & his sister Aurora and her family. Lots of fun.

As you can tell we have a very large extended family. We love them all and I'm so greatful for everyone of them in my life.

We had a great time with everyone. Happy New Year.

I had wanted to go see the temple lights at Temple Square but decided it was to cold or something. So I told Dan about this house that has the train going around 3 houses so we drove over. We went to see what it was all about and we were able to go on the Polar Express. While we were waiting we watched the Polar Express movie inside a heated garage. Then we got to go for a ride on the train to the North Pole. That's were Rylan got to see Santa in Santa's Workshop, but Austin wouldn't sit on Santa's lap!!! They gave them a bell, sang songs Rylan was Rudolph for one of the songs but he just stood there wandering what was going on. Santa talked to us then we got on the Polar Express and there were all these pictures of Jesus by Simon Dewey with music playing in the background. It was really fun! Maybe the rest of our children will go with us next year.
